Rail Eastern

How can I find details of a railway fireman who fell from the footplate in 1956 in Nottingham, Uk?

The chap was from Boston, Lincolnshire and worked for British Rail Eastern Region.

Not an uncommon accident simply on account of the fact that a fireman's role involved constant moving around, and stepping on and off the train whereas the driver typically stayed pretty much in one spot.
In such an accident, there would be no disruption to the service, no injury except perhaps to the fireman himself and most important of all no inconvenience to passengers. It would therefore not be formally reported as a railway accident. The fireman might even deliberately keep it quiet out of embarrassment.
If there is something about this particular accident that makes it more worthy of note than any similar accident, then let us know.
