Any good recommendations for a decent place to stay at San Juan's?
My husband and I are planning a long weekend trip this July to San Juan Islands. Besides a good place to stay, what other activities can one recommend doing there?
July is the best time to see orca whales. You have a reasonably good chance to see them from the beach at Lime Kiln State Park on San Juan Island or You Can rent a kayak or go out on a whale watching boat out of Friday Harbor. The Whale Museum in Friday Harbor is also very interesting.
There are several places to stay in Friday Harbor, but they do fill up quickly in the summer. See the link for more info and lodging options.
